The Jvians Code of Conduct
An important part of your education is the formation of a good character; good manners are the outward expression of a sound character. Good manners embrace all the spheres of a person’s life, the home ,the school, the community and the nation. The following code of conduct is a help towards the formation of sound and well balanced character.
Good manner like charity begins at home. Love, respect and obey your parents, helps to make your home a truly happy home. Have a sense of loyalty to your home. Do not let down your parents, brother and sister before others. Neither, must you give out your family secrets. Let your conduct be such that your parents will be rightly proud of you. Be kind and onside rate towards your brothers and sisters. Be ever willing to lend a helping hand at home. Remember that a happy home is built upon close co-operation of father, mother, brothers and sisters.
Your school is as much as your home. Your school therefore has a claim over your loyalty and devotion. Always bear in mind and live up to your school motto Loyalty through service. Your school expects you to be an honest, hard working and upright person. Be prompt and diligent in your studies. Cultivate a love for knowledge. Develop sound and methodical study habits. Be kind, polite and respectful in your dealings with your masters and teachers. Take good care of your school premises. Do not carelessly throw paper on the floor, drop ink in the desks or scribble on the walls . Never let your school down by your misconduct. Give a good account of yourself wherever you go.
TOWARDS YOUR COMPANIONS
Always be polite in your dealings with your companions. Be considerate about the need of others. Cherish the good name of others as you would cherish yours. Be willing to see the other person’s point of view. Do not make fun of the personal defect of others. Admit that you do not have all the answers to all the problems of the world. Never laugh at the social customs, religious beliefs and observances of others. Be slow to anger and be willing to apologies for your offense. Forgive others as God forgives you. Express a kind word of thanks for any service rendered to you. Never keep for yourself what belongs to others. In short, do unto others as you would expect others to do unto you.
Pay due attention to your personal cleanliness. Take bath daily. See that your ears, neck, nails and teeth are clean, your hair combed and your shoes well polished. Avoid picking your nose, ears, teeth or hair while in the company of others. Avoid loud coughing, belching, sniffing, yawning when in the company of others. Use a handkerchief while sneezing. Keep your mouth closed habitually. All breathing should be done through nose. Food is meat to nourish the body. Eat to live. But do not live to eat. Watch manner while at table. Do not eat noisily. Stand erect; do not use the wall or any other objects to support yourself. Sit upright; never lean over your desk in a clumsy manner. Do not drag your feet while walking. Walk at a brisk measured pace. Let your manner of speech be gentle. Do not be too loud or Vulgar in your speech. See that your belongings are kept tidily. Do not scatter your clothes, books, shoes in a haphazard way. Be punctual for your appointments and honor all commitments. To sum up always remember that wherever you are, whatever you may be, you carry with you the good name of your family, the dignity of your school and the reputation of your community and Nation. Be sure that you always give a good account of yourself
OUT STATION TOURS / PICNICS
The school may arrange for National /International tours /Picnics for it students. These tours will be optional for bonafide students of the school only. For this it is required that parents of children studying in classes from Grade 1 to Grade 10 submit a copy of the passport at the time of admission to the school. Although the school strives hard to bring the best opportunity to the child, the parents are requested to understand completely and verify all details regarding diet, schedule, modes of transport, place of visit, stay etc. directly with the authorised tour company. Students are expected to follow the directions of the tour Managers /Teachers accompanying the tour. No mobile phone a valuable camera or electronic gadgets will be permitted. The parents and student will be able to contact each other at stipulated times given by the tour operator only. The school reserves the right to cancel the tour or change the venue due to unavoidable reasons any picnic or excursion beyond city limits will be charged. Any indiscipline behavior, misdemeanors, violence, felonies and illegal action in any outstation tours or picnic or excursions will result in immediate deportation of the student back to the school where the student will face for the disciplinary action.
BAN ON USE OF MOBILE PHONES
- Mobile and other portable devices like Ipads, Ipods, Tablets extra shall not be allowed to be used or seen in the school campus at any The school shall not be responsible for any incidences of theft or devices getting misplaced or misused. Also, all such devices if found will be confiscated by a member of the school staff and will be returned back to parents letter by the principal of school staff only after calling them to the school.
- In case, you need to contact your ward during the school hours for some emergency, you are requested to call up school reception that would pass on the emergency message to the students. The ban on mobile devices and phone is also applicable to break X and while traveling in the school bus.
- School will take strict action against all sort of Cyber crime including slandering about school and its staff in any of the social networking sites by the students in and out of the school. Cyber bullying will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against students found involved in such activities inside and outside school premises.
Jawahar Vidyalaya believes in providing healthy and fresh snakes. Our canteen provides a wide variety of appetizing, nutritious foods at a reasonable price. The canteen staff take out most care of hygiene and cleanliness. Students are not allowed to carry food from the canteen to the classrooms and school buses. Wastage/Spelling over of food will invite disciplinary action.
Parents are requested to ensure that homework is done regularly by the students. By ‘Homework’ the school refers to the entire gamut of academic follow-up that takes place at home and not necessarily just returned work. At the Primary School level, student’s time out of school should be there on time in which they pursue their own interest, hobbies and play. Often students are tired from the intensive teaching they have had during the day. Therefore, the school does not set excessive homework. However at the Secondary level students are expected to submit their completed homework/worksheets on schedule dates itself. Students won’t be allowed to participate in Class session unless the home assignments are completed. Also, students will not be allowed to do tuition homework during school hours.
STUDENT MOTIVATION PROGRAM
To appreciate and encourage good behavior, good performance and to recognize core competency skills and talents hidden within students the School has introduced a student motivation program by rewarding student with bookmarks on various competency life skill areas.
School staff will reserve the right to cancel suspend or even withdraw the awards granted to any particular child for gross misconduct or any other serious offence committed by the child no parent involvement will be tolerated selection of students for the reward.
PARKING OF PERSONAL VEHICLES
Parents are requested to ensure that there is no parking chaos outside the school premises and in the lane during the transaction time /PTM. Parents are requested to park their vehicles at a far off distance (minimum 100mm) from the school and walk down to the school while coming to pick up and drop their children.Parents should ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the residence in the lane due to traffic congestion caused by wrong parking. The school management and Principal /Heads shall be no way responsible if the parents have any damage /argument/alteration/ physical fight/ verbal abuse /deflation of tyres with/by the residence in the lane in this regard and under no circumstances shall the school management and Principal/ Heads get involved into such incidents caused due to wrong parking.
